How do I determine which lock is best for my specific home security needs?

Selecting the right lock depends on the application. For exterior doors, we recommend high-security deadbolts with a Grade 1 rating. For gates or sheds, weather-resistant padlocks are ideal. You can use our 'Security Rating' filter to find the appropriate protection level for your property.

Can I order multiple locks that all use the same key?

Yes, we offer a 'Keyed Alike' service for many of our Master Lock products. Look for the 'Keyed Alike' option on the product page or contact our support team to coordinate a custom order for your entire home.

What should I do if I forget the combination to my set-your-own combination lock?

For security reasons, Master Lock does not have a master override code for resettable combination locks. If the lock is open, you can reset it following the manual instructions; however, if the lock is closed and the combination is lost, it cannot be reset or opened.

What is your return policy for security products?

We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Please note that for security reasons, custom-keyed locks or products that have been modified are non-returnable unless there is a manufacturer defect.

How long does shipping take for bulk hardware orders?

Standard orders typically ship within 1-2 business days. For large bulk orders or custom keying requests, please allow an additional 3-5 business days for processing before the items are dispatched via your selected shipping method.

Do Master Lock products come with a warranty?

Yes, most Master Lock products carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty against mechanical failure or manufacturer defects. If your lock fails under normal residential use, please reach out to our customer service team with your proof of purchase.
